Ted and Patti Stallings enjoy Alaska fishing aboard their 40-foot Maxweld Maxcat Catamaran, which was designed specifically for the thrill of fishing in rough, open waters. The boat, which is only for their personal use, will not be used for compensation or hire.
The vessel is built for comfort, performance and safety. It has a roomy cabin, four berths, a head, and a full galley. It is powered by twin Volvo D6-350′s engines and cruises effortlessly at 25 knots. It has the latest in Furuno electronic technology, auto pilot, GPS, and a state-of-the-art radar system. It is equipped with high-end fishing gear such as electric reels, a subsurface locator system, and an 11-ft Rigid Inflatable Dingy with a 25-HP outboard trolling motor. The dingy is deployed with the boat’s hydraulic davit. Built for stability even in the roughest sea conditions, the catamaran is one of the safest boats in the water.
Ted and Patti christened their boat “Milagra,” which means miracle in Spanish and reflects the many blessings they have experienced in their lifetime. They are eager to share the great Alaska experience, and are inviting friends and colleagues to visit their lodge and join them aboard the Milagra for a fantastic fishing adventure. The fishing around Seldovia is superb throughout the year, and the local people always extend a warm and friendly welcome.
